How to use Rufus Download for PC?


  • Firstly you want to download Rufus Download for PC if you haven't downloaded it yet. Rufus is also available in a compact version with a standard installer.

  • Plug into the USB drive, and you can see this immediately in the top-down menu. Click on the button "Select".

  • Go to the browse window, select and open which ISO file has been saved.

  • Tap the 'Tick' icon next to the 'Boot Selection' menu to measure if you like, and see the MD5, SHA1, and SHA256 ISO file controls. This is useful for checking whether an ISO file has been manipulated.

  • From the Target System menu, select "MBR" from the Drop-Down Partition Scheme and "BIOS or UEFI." 

  • You may use the "Volume label" field to alter the name of the USB drive. Also, make sure that the "Quick Format" checkbox is selected under Advanced Format Options.

  • Select the option "Write in ISO image mode" and press the "Ok" button on the next prompt. You can also find the alert format and press "OK".

  • Rufus starts making a bootable USB drive by pressing the button. It can take a few seconds to complete the creation process depending on your USB drive.
